Two new books about Wairarapa have recently been published, authored by Maxine Hemi, available from Huia Publishing.   ‘First Flight’  is a collection of short stories for children and young adults about people and events of Ngāti Kahungunu. Library Relaunch

The Library has only been partially in operation for the last term due to the rebuild of the senior classrooms. Carterton School Out of Zone Enrolments

The Board advises that a number of vacancies have become available at Carterton School. Since the last ballot for out of zone places on Friday 13th November the board has received a number of enquiries from parents of out of zone students seeking to enrol their children at the school this year. Because the Board operates an enrolment scheme, it is required to fill any vacant out of zone places by ballot in cases where there are more applications for enrolment than there are places available.
