We are very lucky in the Wairarapa to experience the annual balloon festival. Many of us were able to witness the mass ascension at Carrington Park this morning. The sky was a little grey but Peg Leg Pete the Pirate Parrot certainly brightened up the place!
Every year one of the balloons and the crew visit our school, show us their balloon and share some of their experiences. We were extra lucky this year as the weather conditions allowed them to take off from our school village green. Very exciting for us all.
Thanks Wairarapa Balloon Festival crew!
Kapahaka is about celebrating our culture and kotahitanga – unity – joining together as one and stiving for excellence, participating to the best you can be. Our tamariki were absolutely amazing at the kapahaka festival. What a brilliant performance!
Tino pai rawa atu!
